About our founder & owner, Marcella (Raven) Townsend

M. Raven Townsend is a Trained Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Herbalist, and Advanced Yoga Teacher with over two decades of experience weaving together Yoga, Ayurveda, and Ancient Wisdom. Her background includes professional herbalism, workshops, and college-level yoga instruction, as well as operating a herbal medicine store that supports holistic living.
Alongside her passion for natural living, she established a successful career in project management with PMP and PMO-CP certifications from the PMI where she led teams developing online learning platforms. She holds formal degrees of MS in Information Technology, BS in Mathematics, AAS in Aviation Management, and a Professional Certificate in Web Design & Development. She completed two enlistments in the US military where she traveled extensively to various locations.
She is also an identical twin, and her sister volunteers with the operations. Together, they manage their 8th generation home place, which is the location of Townsend Draft Goods.
