Myrrh has been used as an ingredient in incense and perfumes in Ancient Egypt. Myrrh can possibly be toxic in high concentrations, and should not be used during pregnancy.

Diluting with a carrier oil for skin application is recommended. Unless you are working directly with a highly qualified practitioner who has been specifically trained in essential oil pharmacology, it is not advisable to take internally. If pregnant or nursing, consult your physician.
