Moringa moves like an arrow through the body—warming, clearing, and awakening—while Boswellia settles like cool incense smoke over a flame, soothing heat and easing the body’s burdens.
In the old Ayurvedic stories, Moringa—known as Shigru, “the arrow”—was said to pierce stagnation.
Classical texts describe it as warming in potency and sharp in nature, a plant that stirs sluggish digestion and rekindles the inner fire (agni) when life feels heavy or clouded by Kapha’s dampness. Its pungent and bitter tastes were believed to sweep through the channels like a cleansing wind, restoring movement and vitality to places that had grown still. In Kerala’s traditional formulations, Shigru was even used to support joint mobility and circulation, a testament to its penetrating, energizing force. Art of Vedas

Moringa's Magic
Across villages and kitchens, Moringa’s magic was woven into daily meals long before it was called a “superfood.” Elders taught that its leaves carried the memory of sunlight, offering nourishment that strengthened body and spirit alike. Its warming, drying qualities made it a natural ally for those weighed down by heaviness or fatigue, though practitioners cautioned fiery Pitta types to use it with care. In this way, Moringa became both food and folklore—an herb that fed the body while whispering ancient lessons about movement, clarity, and renewal. Organic India
Boswellia -Reduce Pitta
Boswellia—Shallaki—belongs to a different lineage of healing. Where Moringa cuts through stagnation, Shallaki cools and soothes. In Ayurvedic tradition, it is revered for its ability to calm inflammation, ease swelling, and support the joints. Its resin was burned in temples and applied in remedies, believed to draw heat out of the blood and muscles like a gentle hand on a fevered brow. Practitioners turned to Shallaki for conditions marked by Pitta’s fire and Kapha’s heaviness, trusting its capacity to restore comfort and mobility without disturbing the delicate balance of the body’s energies.
Fire & Coolness = Moringa & Boswellia
Together, these two herbs form a kind of elemental duet—fire and coolness, movement and ease, arrow and incense. Moringa awakens what has grown dull; Boswellia softens what has grown inflamed. In the language of Ayurveda, they remind us that healing is rarely one‑note. It is a dance between clearing and calming, between stirring the inner winds and settling the inner flames. And in that dance, the old stories say, the body remembers how to find its way home.
